With our program, you can fulfill the qualifications for secondary teaching certification by the West Virginia Department of Education in tandem with your 4-year degree in mathematics or science. We want you to have the essential tools to forge change in the next generation.

Why we work

WVUteach is the only undergraduate pathway at WVU for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) secondary education certification. WVUteach provides flexible entry points. There is no application to try out the program. Register for ARSC 120 (offered fall and spring) and you're in! If you decide to continue with the program, you still keep your current major.
